Jordan Marsh is a foot stomping piano player, singer & song writer.
Hitting the live circuit from the age of seventeen years old, Jordan started out playing the piano in local pubs and clubs playing a mix of rock’n’roll, blues and boogie woogie. He played with a number of local bands and musicians but soon realised he wanted to play his own style of music.
‘I hate to categorize music. To me, good music is good music. I listen to a whole lot of Soul, Blues, Jazz, Country, Ska and a whole lot more….’ – JM
Jordan soon got his own act together and approached local venues to book some gigs. At first this was just a duo, Jordan on keys and vocals with a drummer, but soon it led to a bigger band bringing in bass, guitar, percussion and horns.
‘I blame my parents! When I was a kid, they took me to see Ray Charles, Van Morrison, Bob Dylan, Bobby Bland, Chuck Berry and many many more….’ – JM
Over the last few years, Jordan has recorded his fair share of original material, played support slots for Peter Green, Nick Lowe and Geraint Watkins to name but a few, and has been pretty much gigging constantly since he started out.
Jordan has headlined the Jools Holland Boogie Woogie festival twice, sharing the stage as guest artist with Jools Holland and his band, Neville Dickie, Ben Waters and Axel Zwingenberger.
‘Jordan’s high energy mix of material, has won him the reputation as one of the most entertaining musicians in the country’ – Boisdale of Canary Wharf.
‘I’ve been watching Jordan Marsh for quite some time and I really admire his style’ – Jools Holland.
